Closing of tho Wlsond Mho. Giieymouth, Thursday. The Brunner correspondent of the /byus says it would appear as if there was some truth in the report that the Wallscnd mine will bo closed. Tenders are being-called to remove the boiler from the Wallsond mino to a Ijrunner mine. So far the difficulty Beems as far from a settlement as ever

Tito sistao Hurdor Caao, Discovery of GiiiBORXE, Thursday, The search party yesterday 'found tbe body of Eobert Streetcr. in ,111010 a short distance from where deceased and his mate wero fencing. The locality is about forty miles from Gisborne, in very roligh country beyond the oil spriugs, The message states there is evidence of Streetcr having been murdered, although tho body is in an advanced statoof decomposition, It is thought there will bo no dillioulty in identifying the remains. Dr Inncs left town this morning for the locality of the murder. The inquest will be held to-morrow at Whatatutn. William ]3lack, charged with the murder, and Streeter's wife, aro to Icavo Gisborno 10-diy in charge of the police, to bo present at the inquest. Detective Campbell, of Wellington, arrived here this morning and proceeds to the scene of the murder.
