The Very Eey, Dr McDonald, a well-known Roman Catholic missionary amongst the Maoris, and brother of the Very Eev, Monsignor McDonald, died on Sunday at his residence, Hokianga, after a short illness. The deceased priest came to this colony in 1851, and was VicarGeneral of Auckland when Dr Pompallier was Bishop, He afterwards went to the Waikato, and there took charge of the Maori Mission as Vicar Apostolic
