MASTERTON ROAD BOARD.
At the meeting of the ; above .Board on Saturday, after we went to press, the' following correspondence was read:From S. Mawley, re refunding costs of litigation in connection with the action against the Board, Resolved that the matter stacd over; Prom, same,, applying for repairs.! to Wangaehu road, and stating tliat he understood there was a balance in hand from the iBOO loan winch had been usedin "repairs, It was decided that the Clerk reply that no loans receivedbythe Boardoan be expended in- repairs. The Clerk wa3 also instructed to iutiihate to Mr Mawley that he must keep his cattle off the [road."'.", . -;■> - From Messrs Wadham and Deal, revesting that a road leading to their property be made through Falconer's, Mr, Wadliam also waited on the Board wi||i referenoe to the matter. It was resolved that the Oversoer make a survey with a yiew to giving an approximate cost of the. road applied for, '; "
From Colonial; Treasurer, slating that the application.for loan of £9OO for road-making at Kopuaranga had been approved, It was resolved that the necessary steps be taken to raise the loan. - : :; v •" - From District Survey Offico re Mr Stuekey's oloim ,for; fencing, etc, it; was deoided that (lie Chairman be authorised to again, wait upon - the Government regarding the matter. ; From Mr 0. MoKillop,' requesting to be allowed to remove a few loads of gravel from Taueru loop line. The request was not granted. • ■ From District Land Officer ex. pnditure of thirds and requesting information regarding same. Received.
From Treasury stating that: as orginal poll for raising loan of £IOOO had. been. taken ; by Eangitumau Road Board, and as that Board : bad

DEATH OF MR WIL3ONE, Mr Dagg moved, and the Chairman seconded, "That this -Board I very muck regrets- the death of Mr lEobert Wilsone,' its late : Clerk, .and I that the members one;and all ,desire to oonvey to: the bereaved family their deep sympathy in their affliction, They wish also to record their, j testimony of the fidelity and care, with which the late Mr- Wilaone for manyj years -carried out the duties appertaining-to the dual position of Secretary and- .Treasurer to the Board,-'-The.motion;.was put andl carried unanimously .- . : -BOARD'SOmOERS,' „ . 1 MrO.
