EKETAHUNA.
A concert and dance in aid of the proposed Newman Town Hall was held at Eketahuna on Thursday evening last, A large and appreciative- audience was treated to a lengthy programme, in whioh Bongs, sentimental andcomic, and recitations were included, Tho following'ladies and gentlemen gave their services The Misses Mead, Morris and Mills, Mrs Mills, and Messrs' Devonshire Weston, 0. '%ris, Q, H, Morris, Geo. Morris, H. Mills and J, Mead. All the items were well rendered, the whole being concluded with the farce " Thumbs up," after which dancing was kept up till four in the morning. The result should be a substantial balanpa towards tho hall,
