Christohurch, May 15. The building known as the Palace Rink, Gloucester street, was to-day submitted to auction by Matson and Co., (associated with the National M, and A, Company), for absolute salo. The property upon which it stands is leased for a term, of which U years have to run.. The goodwill of the lease, with the rink and all other improvements thereon, was offered in one lot, There was only one bid, and it was knocked down to Mr J, Gould for £IOO. The original contract price for tho rink was £ISOO. There havo been numerous improvements made eince to tho building,
