Mr F H Wood held his usual ' fortnightly Stock Sale at the Taratahi yards yesterday. A large quantity of stock was yarded, Tvhioh all sold under the hammer; the attendance of _ buyers was good, and bidding spirited throughout, Prices showed an advance of from Gd to Is a head on sheep as against last sale. Cattle also were in much better demand. In sheep the entries were confined to store, fat and breeding ewes, and lambs in the wool; no. wethers came forward. Prices ruled as under,viz: Fat ewes 8s 8d; store ewos Gs to 8s Id; breeding ewes is 6d to 78; oulled ewes 2s 9d to 4s; lambs in the wool 5s to ,Gs 9d, Cattle: Calves 14s; yearlings 26s to 28s; fat cows 67s Gd to G2s Gd; dairy cows 45s to 71s; dry cows, store, 80s to 455. A fowhorsea were sold at a low prices and a horse; dray, and harness, sold for £25, '
