The public examination of Joseph and Emma Ingley was to have been proceeded with, but Mr Ingley wired, stating that lie, would arrivo'by the mid-day train, and asked for an adjournment till bis arrival, Mr Bunny pointed out that this wag the second time the debtors had been called upon to attend, and tailed to do so. Mr Beard said that tho debtors ha d not more than sufficient means to subsist, and as their expenses had ouly been, guaranteed .by tho Official Assignee at tho last moment they : could not appear beforo. Mr Bunny: It is a strange thing that the debtors have no money to pay their expenses, and yotthey can employ counsel, Mr Beard: It is equally strango that the assets in the. estate are nil, and yet the Official Assignee can employ counsel. The case was then adjourned by the Court till 2 o'clock,
