! (united press association, Election of himate, Wellington, Thursday. When the Synod resumed this morning, after the formal business had been transacted, the ballot for the election of Primate was~proceeded with, and on the suggestion of Bishop Suter it was decided, after it had been taken, thai the details of the voting should be made known, The Hon. Mr Aclan'd, and Major JBaiUie were appointed scrutineers. The result of the ballot was as follows: Bisl]op of Wellington, 8 bishops, lj clergy, 10 laity, Bishop of Nelson, 1 bishop, i clergy, 8 laity. Bishop of Waiapu 1 laity. Bishop Hadfield having more than one half of the votes recorded in each of the three orders was deolared duly elected Primate ofN.Z, amidst loud applause,
