WAIRARAPA POULTRY ASSOCIATION.

The annual general meeting of the above Association was held in the Club Hotel last evening, Mr L. J. Hooper presiding, The minutes of the last meeting wero read and confirmed. The balance-sheet was read and adopted. The resignation of the President was received with regret, and a hearty vote of thanks was unanimously passed to him for his past interest and support. The President's cup was presented to Mr Walker by the Chairman, who thought the way it had been won was highly creditable. ' ■: Mr Walker returned thanks, ffl■ the gift, and expressed the hope that at the next show there would be greater competition. He hoped, also, the President would be to re-consider his resignation. '"^

The election of officers was then proceedee with, Mr A, W, Eenall was ro-eleoted patron,. It was decided to ask the President, Mr H. Beetham, to re-consider his deoision to resign, and Mr Walker was appointed a deputation in the matter. . The retiring Vice-Presidents were re-elected, The following Committee was appointed!— Messrs Anketell, 3. Caselberg, Fitton, W. G. King, A. A. White, H, Eemington, J, Williams, C. Perry, A. Walker, J. E, Bkellj, D. D, Hyde, M, Williams, and W. flounslow, It was decided to ask Mr R. Hornblow to act as Secretary, whilst Mr A. A, White was appointed Treasurer.
