As a good deal of argument; lias been indulged in over the new rules of scoring in the game of iiugby Football, we quote rule 7,' which raus as follows: A match shall be' decided by a majority of points; a goal shall equal three poiuts, with the exception of a goal kicked from a kick awarded 'by way- of penalty, which shall equal t wo points, and a try. one point, If the number of points be equal, or no goal be kicked or try obtained, the,match shall be drawn. When a goal is kicked from a try the goal only is scored. 1 ' The above is taken from a copy of the rules of the English Rugby Union just received by Mr S. H. Wickerson from Rowland Hill, the great English, authority on the game/ VVe'aro repriuting these rules, so the clubs and players may obtain copies and put themselves right on any point in which they are in doubt.
