TINUI. (From Our Own Correspondent.)
- The Jubilee of. tho colony was celebrated at Tiniii on the 29tb inst. by a public picnic in the Tinui bush. The spot chosen was a gully on Mr Bellisa' property and opposite his residence. Over sixty persons of various ages attended. Provisions and fruit wore in abundance, and one and all thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The games usual on snob occasions were entered into with great spirit by some, while others of a more sedate turn of mind, explored the valley (down which a stream of delightfully clear cold water falls rapidly), returning at tea time laden with ferns, of which there was a great variety. Picnics have for several years been unknown at Tinui, but I imagino that owing to the success attending this, we shall bear of others before long. A danoe in the Town Hall wound up the day's festivities.
