■• THE JUBILEE. 1 TO THE EDITOR. ' Sm.—Would you be kind enough to insert the following in your paper. —I desire to thank the gentlemen of Masterton who responded so nobly to my original invitation in referenoo to ' the Jubilee Celebration, the Committee who carried out the festival, the general public who sobsoribed so liberally, and the Btaff comprising the ladies and other members'of Committees, who so successfully .exerted themselves to make it worthy of Mastorton, the colony, and the occasion. My th'anlis are particularly due to Messrs Hooper, & Maokay, A. W. Eenall, W. H. Beotlianj, I}, Homblow, mi otliers, who gave tiieli npey and assistance voluntarily and cheerfully. I feel that iu taking up aJubjloo Demonstration at my suggestion for tl)o seoond time in this hearty manner, they have done honor to themselves, the community and their sincere Wfijl-wisher fl.
