A SUGGESTION.
TO THE KDITOII. Sir,—l beg to sugg-st to conveners of future public meetings, that a doorkeeper be stationed at the entrance to keep out larrikins and people the worse for liquor. Last night's meeting was seriously interrupted by a red haired gentleman considerably " under the iulluence." and liter on tho speakers could scarcely be heard through the row caused by a set of young hoodlums playing practical jokes on an elderly, bald-headed individual whose oxcontricilies whe.i he has been looking at the wme that is red, are notorious, It is time that a lot of people, who simply go to these meetings for a lark, were taught that persons are not going to the expense of hiring public halls and advertising meetings for the sake of letting a set of tomfools indulge in a lot of senseless horseplay, and this would effectually be put a stop to by refusing admittance to larrikins and boozikins, I am, Ac. Rathmyer.
