Mr B, D, Morehead, Coloniaal Secretary, in replying to Sir Henry Prtrkea' proposal for an Australian Dominion, states that the position already achieved by the establishment of a Federal Council furnishes a starting point of federation, but in order to meet the views of the Premier of New South Wales, he will throw no obstacle in the way of eompleto federation, He concludes that he is willing to fall in with the idea of Mr Gillies, Premier of Victoria, for a convention of membors of the Federal Council and others,
