Masterton Road Board.

Tlio ordinary monthly meeting of tlio Board was held on Saturday, Present—Messrs W. 11, Bcotliam (chairman), K, D, Dagg, T. Brown, J, Stuckey. From J. J. Cottle ru fencing. Telegram from Colonial Treasurer stating special loans ol £IOO and .£SO had passed the audit. It was resolved in reply to Mr Cottle's request that repairs be done to the fence at Mokunui bank. It was resolved to ask the chairman of the Rangitumua Hoard to call a moeting for the purpose of striking a rato over the properties, and conduct tlio business of tlio Board till llio transfer is completed. That Mr Guild and other's application to raise j aloan ofiGOO for continuation of forma tion of Wangaehu road bo granted. That Mr Donovan be informed that if he has a grievance lie must put it m writing and solid it to the hoard, and if his rales are not paid within a mouth steps will be taken for their recovery. That the clerk write to Marchant again re the legalising of tlio road through the Okuropiti Block. That the overseer be instructed to lay off a road from Tc Ore Ore to join the Tc Whiti one to Gladstone, and that the fencing across the road be removed, and that settlers to erect gates where required, and that the sum of £lO voted for improving that road be expended thereon. That llic overseer be again instructed to examine the properties abutting on the Wangaelm lionu for the purpose of ascertaining if suitable metal can be obtained there.

Messrs Dagy and Drown woi'o appointed to sign cheques at the present meeting on behalf of the board. The following tenders were received for formation mid metalling at Upper Manaia: —Accepted, f.
