EKETAHUNA.
(From our own correspondent,) The weather since my lust lottor is still bad.
Mr William Bayliss conducted divine services at tho Wesleyan Church last Sunday last. In connection with church matters, several residents havo asked me how it is that we have never had a visit from a minister of the Church of England. There is a large number of members of that church here just now. It seems strange that service is not held hero at the least omo a month.
Mr Murpell, who escaped drowning last week in tho Makakahj river, is very little the worse for bis ducking. Not so with the horse. That was found in the river at tho central Mangaone crossing (with saddle and bridle on) dead, on Saturday.' That would be a distance of ten miles from the scene of the accident.
