(From Our Own Correspondent). • Tho annual meeting of the Ekotibuna Cricket Club was held on Friday at Mr Jones' Tomperanco Hotel, Present— Messrs Selby, Shehan, Dubois, Keller, Higgins, Turner, Hodges, and Girdwood. Mr b'elby was voted to the chair, as tho secretary, Mr Von Eedin, was absonfc, Mr Hodges acted as secretary for the meeting. The first business wosllo fix the scale of fees for tho year, fin the motion of Mr Hodgos, seconded by Mr Dubois, the fees wero made five shillings. It was explained that only about 80s of a debt was duo by the Club and that the proposed lowered scale of fees would meet all current expenses. An amendment proposed by Mr Tumor, seconded by Mr Shehan, that all new raenibtrs pay an entrance fee of 2s Gd and above tho yearly subscription oH h five shillings was made. In speaking ▼ ' j to tho amendment Mr Shehan said that the Club had gono to considerable exponse in purchasing requisites, leasing ground and preparing tho same for play, and that it was but just that new mombcrs should boar part of tho expense, Tho amendment was then put to the meeting and carried on the casting vote of tho Chairman. Proposed by the Chairman, seconded by Mr Tumor, that all present be a working com- \ mitteo. Carried, Proposed by Mr \ Selby, seconded by Mr Shehan, that Mr IV. C, Smith, elected President, carried, Proposed by Mr Hodges, seconded by Mr Selby, that Mr Jones bo vicePresident, carried. Proposed by Mr Hodges, seconded by Mr Selby, that Mr von Rodin bo elooted Secretary and Treasurer, and earned. Proposed by Mr Shehan, and seconded by Mr Dubois, that Mr Selby be elected the Club's captain fortlieseason.—Carried. Proposed,, . by Mr Tumor, seconded by 'MiL. Shehan, that Messrs Selby, Dubois and Higgins be the Ground Committee, to carry out all work in connection therewith, and that tho ground committee bo empowered to expend £3 in electing hurdles round the pitch; carried. Proposed by Mr Higgins and carried, That youths ho admitted on payment of a fee of 2s 6d, age to bo under sixtcon. Proposed by Mr Tumor and carried, That Mr Hodges be practice captain. Mr i Tumor suggested that the ground could be let for lawn tennis. In connection with 'the letting Wtho ground for tennis, tho mooting decided that the ground committee ■ deal with the matter. It was resolved that tho next meeting bo held ou Saturday, 12th October, at Mr Jones' Tcinporaiico Hotel. A voto of thanks to tho chairman and to Mr Jones for the use of the meeting room terminated the meoting.
