A meeting of the above Board was held at Martinboiough on Saturday night, Mr Coleman Phillips being iii the obair, when the rabbit .-pientiun was thoroughly disoussed.

It was resolved to pursuo tho' work of extermination with unabated vigour; to request tho Government lo appoint nn Inspector solely for South Wnirnrapa ; to urge upon (he Government to turn out (he natural enemies upon the Crown lands; that settlers would breed and turn out as many ferrets and cats as possible, that landowners in South Wkirarupa be written to asking il they are in favour of stoattUri and weasels; and lastly, that thev South \V«i tnr* set about borrowing from the Government £25,000 or £30,000 for the importation of the natural enemy and suppression of tho rabbit pest, This matter was the important feature of the meeting, and the consideration of it was deferred"* until next meeting of the board. Tho J opinion in the Lower Valley isfavonr- 7--able to the proposal of borrowing a sum of money, but a lower figure than that mentioned.

The resignation of Mr J. McLeod,the Secretary, was accepted with expressions of regret, Mention was also uwh of tho good services of Messrs A, E. McFarlane and Goo. The Wance-sheet showed a gWI financial condition, tho Club Inmug LIG in hand, with no liabilities. Thero was also an asset of arrears in subscription. Tho receipts during the past season were L 212, and the receipts L 197,

The following officers were elected, for the ensuing yeir:—President, MrJfe W. C. Buchanan, M.H.R.; President, Mr J, Martin, junr.; Treasurer, Mr Geo. Pain, Secretary, Mr Walter Armstrong; starter, Mr J. MeMnster; hnntlicnpper, Mr A. E. McFarlane; judge Mr Wallace Smith ; timekeeper, Mr W. O. Williams; clerk of scales, Mr T. F. Evans; clerk of course, Mr John Cameron.; stewards, Messrs D, MoDougall, C, Harris, H. 0. Dowman, J. Ore, S. Makapuku, A. Everitt, and G. Harris; auditors, Messrs C. J. Tully and J. Martin.
