DEATH THROUGH DRINK. Oamarv, August 4. An inqntst was held here on the body of Hannah Crawley, an old settler, aged about sixty five, who died somewhat suddenly yesterday. The deceased, who wus of rather intemperate habits, sold sorao property in Dunedin a few weeks ago, and received £joo in cash, Beyond making a present to her son of £2O, no trace of the money can be found. The fact of her having money attracted tho usual parasites, and it, is presumed that she was eased of her money, The evidence disclosed that the woman was found lying on the floor of a room in a semi insensiblo state.
