Mr Mcnteatli made tho last speech before the motion was put that the House go into Cotmnicteo on the Representation Bill, At 4 o'clock the motion was put, and a division taken; Ayes 57, Noes 27, The Bill was therefore ordered into Committee and the galleries thrown open to the press and public. The Houso adjourned and resumed at 7,50, Sir 6, Grey moved an amendment making the title that of a Bill "to suspend the llepresentat-ions Act Amendment Act, 1887, and to limit each elector to one vote.
Thd discussion on the amendment lasted (ill 10.30, when an adjournment was suggested till 2,30 next day,
On division, the proposal that the Chairman leave the chair until 10.30 a.m.jto-day was carried by 58 to 27, and the House rose at 10.45.
