Wairaraua Rugby Union.
The Management Committee of the Wnirarapa Kugby Union met at Carterton, Monday night. Present - Messrs 0. Beard (chairman), Nix, Wilsonfl, Perry, and Chambers. It was arranged to play "Wellington at Greytown, on the 10th August, and the N.Z. Native team on the 26th August, at Masterton. The proposed trip to Canterbury and South Canterbury was abandoned after some discussion, as the southern Unions seemed to have their programme of representative matches already pretty full. The Secretary reported that the To Ore Ore Football Club were winners of the Junior Cup for the year. A letter was read'from the Masterton Club claiming last Saturday's match against Greytown. On the motion of Mr Nix, seconded by Mr Snodgrass, it was resolved tbat the Management Committee's arranged fixtures should be upheld, and that Clubs which did not play on the dates decided upon should forfeit the match by default. Messrs Wilsoue and Perry (seconder) suggested as an amendment'that the postponed matches should be played on dates to be fixed by the Committee. Tbe amendment was, however, ruled to be out of order, and the original motion was carried, This ruling, therefore, confers a win upon the Mastertou Club, as they were willing to play last Saturday's match with Greytown; and in tbe Ked Star v Masterton contest, wherfe both Clubs mutually agreed to a postponement, it decides that neither side shall score, but that it shall be a lost gome to both, for not playing on the date allotted them.
It was stated that the Mastertbn Club had won Mr .Buchanan's Cup for the year. The Secretary reported that the Masterton Club refused to pay over the proceeds of gate money in the Cup matches. lie was instructed to write to the Masterton .Club for an explanation. The North Wairarapa v South Wairarapa County match was fixed for Saturday next, to be played, at Carterton.
The Secretary was instructed to find five new uniforms for tho representative team.
The Creytown delegates of the Union were appointed a committee to receive the Wellington team, with power to add to their number,
