Sydney, July 10. A man named Hunter, living in the Glebe quarter of the city, during a drunken frenzy attacked his family with a knife, stabbed a four-year-old child to death, and wounded ainther. His wife escaped. Hunter then attempted to commit suicide, but only wounded himself. Melbourne, July 10. The result of the enquiry into the collision between tin lolanthe and the Cape Vorde is that pilot Clifford who was in charge of tho former at the time, has been found guilty of an error in judgment, and has been suspended for twelve months and ordored to pay tho costs, Adelaide, July 11. Owing to the opposition to the appointment of a seventh Minister, Dr Campbell, who was taken into the Cabinet without portfolio, has resigned. Tho Governor accepted his resignation, but the Government has refused to give way.
