London, July 4, The weekly returns of the Bank ol England published to-day show the reserye in notes and bullion to bo £14,384,000,. being a decrease of £1,004,000 as compared with previous week. The proportion of reserve to liabilities is 41| per cent, Consols 98£. New Zealand 4 per cent, inscribed stock, 105-f with active market.. Australian wheat, ox store, 88 9d; New Zealand long berried, ex store, 38s W.
Copper is quoted at L4l 10s per ion; tin, Australian, LBO per ton. Sugar—German beet, 27s Oil, Java
• Iron, best Scotch pig, No 1 pieces, f.o.b, in Clyde, 41s 9d. The tallow market is flat. Best mutton, 27s Gd to'2Bs; best beef 26s fid to 275.

their London office, dated sth inst: Tallow is dull of sale. Quotations are unchanged sinco last telegram, Frozen Meat,—Mutton—Stocks aro
increasing, and the market has a downward tendency. Canterbury is worth G|d and Wellington, s|d per lb. Canterbury lamb is worthed per lb. New Zealand beef.—There is a rather better demand.
