Mr P, H, Wood reports of his stock sale held at the Taratahi yards yesterday as follows About twice the number of both' sheep and cattle that had been advertised were yarded. All sheep sold under fairly brisk competition. In cattle the demand is still limited and several lines were passed in. The following- prices were realised.—ijlieep, empty ewes, store 8s 4d to 4s lOd; forward ewes, empty ,6s to 7s 4d; fat, 10s; mixed ewes and wethers, 7s 2d to 7s 8d: fat ewes and wethers, 10s to 10s 6d; lambs, 6s 6d: meiino ewes 2s Gd, Cattle.—Steers, yearlings 25s to 28s; 18 months - old, 355; two and a half years old, 50?; calves, 8s If) 10s Gel ; cb'ws, 80s to 60s; horses, 60s to £B,
