The N.Z. Bank Act Amendment Bill was read a first time, also a Bill to amend the Licensing Act, 1881, The Town Districts Act Amendment Bill, which provides that overy person qualified to vote at an election of Commissioners is also qualified to be elected a Commissioner, and the Triennial Licensing Committees Bill which provides that Licensing Committees shall be elected once every three years, simultaneously with the local option polls were read a second time,
The Eight Hours Bill .which provides that after the-Ist January next, eight hours shall constitute a day's work, and forty-eight hours a week's work, and the Registration of Births Act Extension Bill were also read a second time,
