Messrs Lowes k lorns report at tbeir salo yesterday more stock than those advortised came forward, the lines' comprising 1200 sheep, SO head cattle, 10 horses, and sundry pigs, eto, all selling, Sheep show an improvement in all classes especially in store forward ewes and store wethers. Cattle still low in figure, as also horses, The following are the rates:—Fat ewes 9s 7d; forward ewes, 8s; Store wethers 9s; small wethers, 7s; good ewes in lamb, Gs to 7s; medium and culls, 08 to 3s Gd, Cattle-Steers, 555; fat cows 70s; forward cows, 'l3s; store cows 2Gs; young cows, 265; young stock, 15s. Horses-hacks, old, L2; medium, L 5, Pigs—large 25s to 80s; small, 6s.
