Najier, JFriday. As an outcome of tho Oinaha dispute, Airini Donnelly's natives liave been ploughing Broughton's land, and having finished one paddock entered into another early this morning, the leader being Turanga Karaiiria, Mrs Donnelly's brother, who was shot dead bya'nativo of Broughton's party. .' ! J ' ; , '.' ';. '■ Later. ~J Government have recoived several telegrams, re the Omaha shooting affair, but they contain nothing further beyond the fact that Turanga I is Mrs Donnelly's brother. A Napier 'message has been received ■ from Omaha stating .Turanga, who was shot this morning is still alive. Ho received two shots in the stomach. Mr Preece, R.M., lias gone out to take his depositions. Nine constables are out there. Affairs are quieter now.
