At tho City" Court to-day, oxInspector Mallard said there was a fight in the Northern Recreation Ground on Saturday night, Constable Willis, who was on duty, was looking oil, and whan witness called on him to interfere lie only stood by apparently afraid to stop the combatants. The constable was an arrant coward, aud witness who stopped the fight told him so. The Bench warmly eulogised Mallard's conduct and said Constable Willis' action should be brought under the notice of Inspector.Weldon.
