Bravery Recognised.
Auckland, May 8. . The City Council passed ft motion to.niglit recording their appreciation of the bravery and humanity shown by the damoans at Apia during the hurricane of Maroh last. The Mayor, in moving the proposal, said that all the Southern municipal' authorities with, whom he had communioated had expressed a willingness to CO'operate except , the Wellington Council, who considered the matter beyond their province, Copy of the resolution is to be sent to Mataaia.'
