The Council of the Trades and Labor Association are urping the Government to protest against the proposal of Mr Goschen in the imperial Parliament to send stateaided emigrants to the colonies. All the Ministers have been returned at the elections. Messrs Vale, Coffin, and Bosisto, the members respectively for Ballarat West, Melbourne East, and Richmond in the last Parliament have been rejected. Tho returns are not yet com plete, but the approximate result of the elections is-Government 60; Opposition, 35.
