The Council of the Trades and Labor Association are urping the Government to protest against the proposal of Mr Goschen in the imperial Parliament to send stateaided emigrants to the colonies. The body of a girl named Laviuia Dines,whodied recently, has been exhumed, as there was a suspicion that death was due to malpractice. It was found that the uterus had' been removed. after death, The startling disclosures which have been made, present somewhat similar features to those connected with the death of the woman Eileyonthe 10th inst, and in which case, a verdict of murder was returned agaiust some person or persons unknown; Melbourne, Maroh 29, Sir William Jervois, upon his arrival last evening, was received by a guard of honor, Sir William leaves for Adelaide to-day.
All the Ministers have been returned at the elections. Messrs Vale, Coffin, and Bosisto, the members respectively for Ballarat West, Melbourne East, and Richmond in the last Parliament have been rejected. Tho returns are not yet com plete, but the approximate result of the elections is-Government 60; Opposition, 35.
