New Zealand prime mutton, 4|d. Wheat firm. Off coast cargoes of Australian, 87s to 87s Gd; Australian flour, 29s 6d to 80s. Sydney, March 27.
Oalifornian wheat is quoted at 4a lOd to ss. A shipment of 2000 tons is expected in June, of which 1500 tons have already been placed at 5s per bushel. Five hundred tons are now being offered at the same price, c.i.f., to arrive. The sample shown is a prime one;
Mr P. H, Wood reports of his stock sale held at 'the Taratahi yards yesterday;— All. lots entered came to hand, the 1 yards being well, iilled with stock of all kinds and mostly of fii'st claes quality. Bidding was spirited throughout, and last sale prices were fully maintained, ruling as under:—Sheep Fat wethers, 8s 3d for medium, 9s 9d for good; store wethers, 7s 7d to 8s 2d; fat ewes, 7s6dto 8s; store eweß, 4s Id to 7s. A line of good Lincoln breeding ewes realised - 10s Id; culled ewes, 2s 2d to 3s 9d; rams 10s to 20s; lambs, 8s lOd: Cattte—Calves, 7s to 10s; yearlings, 29s Gd; heifers, 2-year-old, 80s to 86s; springing heifers, 40s to 60s; dairy cows, 30s to 70s; store cows, 15s to 80s, Horses— Not in much demand. A few, however, changed hands at' prioes rangling from 60s to £lO,
