Wellington Land Board.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the Wellington Land Board was held yesteiday, present—Messrs J, W, A. Marcliant (Commissioner of Crown Lands), H. Bunny, W. A, Fritzherbert, W. W. McCardle, and H. Macarther. The amount of - l(ind disposed of since last mooting of the Board was stated at 21,500 acres 36 perohes, at bh upset prico of £21,861 12s 10(1. Mr Macarther's proposal ro capitalization of special settlements was after some discussion held over till next meeting. The application of Mr F. Hill to be allowed to select seotion 80 Block XVIII, Mangahao, although he is holder of a special settlement section, was approved. It wati decided to grant the application of Mr B, W. I. Carver to be allowed to convert bis special settlement section into a perpetual leasehold, . Mr J, Gregory applied to be allowed to lease the reserve near seotion 3, Block XVI, Mangahoa, It was resolved to offer it at £1 per ac« under the new Act. Mr A, E. Bunny wrote on behalf of the Official Assignee with reference to Mr W, Hull's section 20, Block 1, Makauri, and asked that it be vested in the Official Assignee under the Bankruptcy Act, 1883, It was resolved to inform Mr Bunny that the.; Board adheres to. its former decision, they have no power to interfere in ' the matter. _ The Commissioner informetj the Board 'of several parts •of t|ie Mangatainoko Block snodiyisions recently purchased by the Crown, and .stated how tlioy would probably be disposed of, and he also stated that Government have proposed to.the selectors to offer the Pemberton Township as a village settlement, on cash deferred payment or perpetual lease conditions, weighted with value of the present conditions, The seclefltpi" of section Block syi Tararus, wrotp abapfionniebt (jog,..
