We 'do not. know whether our Eketahuna friends intend ■ to celebrate the opening of the railway to their terminus by any public demonstration. The occasion is one on which, say an inexpensive lunch on a large scale would be the correct thing, Wo believe a few hundred tickets for such a celebration would be readily taken up in Mustorton. Only a few days now elapse before the department will be running through the last newly made, section, and if Eketahuna is to have a jubilee on tho occasion no time should be lost in setting to-work to make necossary preparations. .If our Eketahuna friends take the matter up it would.be easy to obtain the co-operation of a strong Masterton Bub-committee, •
