A Salvation Harvest Home and Tea Meeting.

The Masterton Salvation Army yesterday (Tuesday) held a harvest festival and a monster tea meeting in the Barracks inDitfonst. Upwards of one hundred and fifty people satdown to. partake of the good things, which had been provided for them by friends and members.- The tables were laden with dainties of all sorts, interspersed with rich bouquets of flowers and ferns. The interior of the, building was covered With evergreens, cereals,; ferns, and flowers, with appropriaio niottos. A long table: was fully laden with choice.fruit,.including luscious grapes, juicy melons, plums, apples, and all fruits in season. There were large supplies of vegetables of every description—marrows, gourds, cucumbers, tomatoes, beets 1 , potatoes, &c, also sheafs of corn. Iu fact the collection was as great as at many a horticultural shojV. : An open meeting took pia'co' in the Barracks |'in the evening, oyer three hundred persons! being in attendance. The platform was occupied by the lads and lasses of the local corps and several visitors, including the Rev.' W.
