Commercial. Sidney, 6tli March. - The yield of wheat iu this colony, although not so rapidly as in Victoria and South Australia, has increased 168 per cent, during the past ten years; while the population has onlyadvanced 70 per cont, It is expected that with a like steady increase the Colony in a few years will be able to supply her own requirements. The complete statistics are not yet ready for publication, those furnished being only a forecast of the official report. This year's crop is the smallest since 1871. It is calculated that the drought'will entail a loss of .£900,000, / .
