i. -Tho ordinary meeting, of the Board 1 was held on Saturday, 23rd February, 1889. Present—Messrs Gunder ' Gundersen (chairman), Peter Mad- , sen, and Charles Forsberg. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed, Correspondence: Prom Eketahuna Road Board re deputy meeting; from Governmont Audit Office re audit'; from Joseph Clelaiid re rates j from Mr Bremner re bridge across Kopuaranga river; from Mr Galloway re bridge; from Wairarapa North County Council re legalising of rqails. Jfie following tenders were received for metalling on Road: -rjolm Devonshire, ,41 7s (jif per chain j Jens Borgard (accepted) £l4s §d; Larq and 0. Luraen, £1 (|s, Resolved that this ftoard fully agrees with the resolution of the Council re legalising; roads, and that the 7 Chairman sign the memorial on behalf of the - Board. It was resolved that the Engineeor (Mr Bremner) be consulted about the orosting to'Mr Galloway's. That Mr Cloland's; request for .the insertion of MrLyneVnatue for part of Section |l§, rateable value Bs, and notice be given to Sir Lyqes be gractecj.... The Chairman reported that owing to the want of maps, no result could be come to with regard to 'the adjustment of boundaries with; the Eketahuna Roard, Mr Victor Tonqnest, as a deputation, waited on tho Beard, re culverts for the West Boad. .Resolved that tendure bs called for five culverts oft the West ftoad,'tinderS to 'close on [ Saturday," 9fh Match ' Accounts amounting" to £l' were passed for payment.
