Masterton Ram fair.
The annual Fair under the auspices of the Masterton Agricultural and Pastoral Society, was held on the Sooiety's Show Ground on Wednesday, 20th February. The show of rams was the largest yet held.in the Wairarapa, .and the quality was a decided improvement, taken all through, on any previous year's exhibits. Several lines were absent from the Fair consigned from distant parts of the colony, notably a line of forty Lincoln rams from Mr J, Eeid, of Oamaru. This lot arrived in Masterton to-day, just tw"enty-four hours too late. Out of 813 entries 700 lots were sold, only a few aged rams failing to find purchasers, The attendance of buyers at the yards was vory large, including representatives from all parts of tho Colony. Tho bidding was spirited throughout ond tho sale was not completed until close upon seven o'clock in the evening. Mrs Cranmer had a refreshment booth on tho around for the convenience of tho numerous visitors. Messrs Lowos and Irons, report tho following sales aud prices : '
