~ " (To the Editor.) - Sir,—ln (dancing through your paper I saw an artiple to the effect that Colonel Roborts is likely to be appointed as Resident Magistrate for the Wairarapa, and is entirely new to.that office. Allow mo to state that Colonel Roberts has 'acted as Resident Magistrate for a number of 1 years on the East Coast of this Island, and also for some time in Taranaki, and is very well versed in law.—l am, ifco.
