Considerable dissatisfaction exist hero because the Northern mails for 8 Kaikoura were not landed and sent on immediately on arrival, of the | steamer at Port Chalmers, The Secretary of the Shipping. Company' telegraphed to the Dimediri manager of the Company oh the subject, and received a reply that tho Postmaster did not want the mails landed, and said nothing was gained by doing bo on Saturday.
