.At a meeting of tho Trades and Labour Council yesterday evening, a discussion took place on the' sweating system in the tailors trade, and a statement was brought up which went to prove that the system is as rampant in Auckland as it appears to be in Christchureh and Dunedin, carrying with it equally demoralising effects.
