London, October 20. A largely attended meeting, of tbe oollieryowners was held to-day, when a resolution, was passed regretting that they were unable to grant an advance of wages'to .the miners; and they also agreed, that the Mayor of Sheffield, along with representatives chosen by the miners, could inspect their books in order to prove that they were not in a position to pay a higher rate of wages. Considerable alarm is felt in the Metropolis, in consequence of the strike extending throughout the country. ; The stock of coal at present in London, will probably lsst a fortnight but should tbe strike become general much inconvenience and distress will bo experienced. : Berlin, Octobor 20. • Several of the German doctors who attended the late Emporor Frederick have published, statements in the Berlin papers repelling seriatim the charges made by Sir Morell Mackenzie against lir Bergmann's treatment of His Imperial Majesty.
