For the Melbourne Cup, 20,000 to 1000 has been taken about Whakawai, and 5000 to 800 about Malua. For the Derby, 1500 to 600 has been taken about Ensign; Melos sto 2, Carbine 8 to 1. The following are the latest scratching 3: For the Caulfield Cup, Glentworth, Kenneth, Burrilda, and Yellow Jacket; for the Melbourne Cup, Yellow Jacket, Kenneth, and Glentworth, At Flemingtou this moriSing, Eobeby did five furlongs in lmin Sjsec; Forest Queen a mile and a half in 2min 53sec; and Touchstono a mile and a quarter in 2min 19sec.
