(From Our Own Correspondent;) Wii have had a spell of quite Summer weather during the last week, and mud having dried up, the ladies have been enabled to got out with tho children. The Eketahuna Orient Club intend to start a little earlier this - year than thoy did last, judging from a notice posted up in the township, of which the following is a copy "At a meeting held on the lOtb Soptomber, tho following gentlemen - were elected as officers of the Eketa- ; hun'a Cricket Club for the season• Secretary and Treasurer, Mr von : Beden; Working Committee, Messrs Selby, Turnor, Turner, Botty, ' Hodges, Chamberlain, and Blight; Captain of practise watches, Mr Hodges.
