Castle < Hill Gully, -and stating that hewas 1 going to close up the present track ] and requesting the Board to assist him in- opening up the above men- < lioned line whioli was surveyed by Mr'D. McLaohlan some years ago. He produced plans shewing road and said that if the Board would, fell one chain wide he would fell two chains, one on either side; the length would be some three miles. That the Tawataia road be closed for wheel traffic until the lfitli November, and that public notice be given of the same. That when the road is in use the' Board will' pay them (Carnell. and Pal) at the rata of 25s per ache subject to the approval of the ;Land .Board, That-Mr Groves' request be complied wifc (Eli Smith); That Mr' Dunn examine, and reportat' 'next meeting. That the Clerk be instructed to write to the County Council offering £BS if the County supplement, it' with £7O towards forming the.County road up the Tiraumea, Payments: to the amount of £127 10s were passed. Messrs Warren and Dunn were appointed to sign-cheques. Next meeting, to be held on Tuesday, October 2. ' -
