About 9 to-night a six roomedhouse in Halkett-atreet was burned down, It was owned by Mrs Lnmb, Three rooms were occupied by ah old woman named Miller, The fire began in the unoccupied rooms, The bouse was insured for £IOO in the New Zealand office, Mrs Lumb's house next door is slightly damaged, and insured in the same office for £IOO in the New Zealand office for £IOO. A cottage on the other, side is badly damaged, and is.insured in the New Zealand office tor £SO.
