There was a better locally-bred bird, but the owner had not entered him. Christohurch, August 10. The annual meeting of the Canterbury Art Society was held to-day. The report showed-Eeceipts, £744; expenses, £754; balance in hand £073. against £OB3 of last year. The Society has G life, 99 ordinary, and 89 working members, against i lifo, 188 ordinary, and 81 working members of last year.
