Tho Fiji Times, of the Ist August, contains details of tho murdor of Palmer Bovan, a Government agent, on board the labor schooner, Saucy Lass, while roturniny with the laborers to Solomon Islands. He and Vakars, a native inoiuber of tho crew,were attacked and brained with tomahawk. The outrage is retaliation fora post mortem being held on a laborer from Solomon who died in the Suva Hospital. • Mr and' Mrs AlexauderGray, of Karawai .null, wore drowned 01116 th July, while oftt duck shooting. Gray had evidently gone to recover a duck,' and got out of his-,depth. His wifo being a good swimmer went to his assistance, and was dragged down. Tho bodies whon found were clasped together,.
