A PRESENTATION.

A vehy pleasing ceremony took: place last night,, A few friends of .Mr G, M. Park, representing a'much'larger number, assembled at the. Club Hotel to wish farewell and continued happiness to their fellow townsman Mr.Gi M. Park on his leaving this district, where' ho'has been tho head of tlio Telegraph ■Office for a number of yoars.foil Nelson. His Worship the Mayor, Mr A,' TV. Renall, on behalf of a largo number-' of burgesses, presented Mr Park with a purseof sovereigns, and the following address to which Mr Park responded in' suitable terms:— ..,'.''

ToG.M.Park, Esq.-We, the uV dersigned residents of Masterton, take this opportunity upon your leaving the district of presenting you with a small but sincere token of our esteem. While in charge' of the Masterton Telegraph Department, wo have always found you attentive and obliging, and your invariable courtesy, united with your well known zeal and ability, has won tho confidence and appreciation of tho community generally. Apart from the performance of your highly responsible duties, you have always taken a great interest in local matters, especially our Horti. cultural and Industrial Socioty, of which you have so long been a most energetic and useful member. In bidding you farewell, we oxpress the hope that ia your now station there will rally round you as many frionds as you have had in this town aud district, and that you aud yours will long enjoy those highest blessings, bug life and prosperity.
