House of Repiesentatives. The stonewalling on tho Otago Cential Railway Bill coutmued throughout tho afternoon. Yesterday an adjournment was made to 7.80 pm, and at the subsequent sitting it was announced that a compiomise had beeu auived at The matter had been discussed by both sides during the lecess and the fol lowing lesolutions weie adopted - That the Otago Cential Hallway be oxtended to a point some eight 01 ton miles beyond Taieri Lake (the name of the locality lie believed was Eweburn); that tho Government shall contract the line, aud shall set aside sufficient land for the purpose, such land to be dealt 'with accordance with the land laws of the Colony; that the extension of the railway shall be commenced and completed with the least possible delay. Further discussion was deferred until Monday, and the House adjourned at 8,80.
