Auckland, Jnly 20. Tliii dispute which bus existed for some timo time pant between two sections of the Ngupnlii tribe at Wangutei, respecting a block of land near the Poroti, culminated this morning in actual lighting, Mr Andrew Wilson was about to comraenoo the survey, and ho sent a survey party to pub up a flag on the hill in order to test tbo throat which had been made by the Natives, This flag was pulled down and ft battle commenced. The latest news received states that several Natives have been killed and others wounded, Mr J. CrClendon, E.M., and two constables have gone out to the scene of the trouble. There are about 70 Natives on one side and 12 on the other, Tho particulars yet to hand are very meagre,
